Just A Thought Best Illustrated

Something To Keep In Mind

14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

A Tear of Gratitude

Today is a day of errands and chaos. I promised a teacher friend of mine that I'd help his class after-hours, which means being a nice guy and working at home. I'm also gonna hand out some flyers, check out the paint store, price metal and hopefully drum up some new business for this weekend.

As I have my coffee and eggs, letting my dogs have their rawhide chips, I think to myself, 'Who has AMC on their TV's so I can see 'The Walking Dead' Halloween night?'

Then I scroll my blog. And of course, my favorites, seeing what other writers have created.

To my surprise this was there, and it's amazing; it is a real shot in the heart that we could all use from time to time.  http://thedrenchedone.blogspot.com/2010/09/just-for-julian-afare24get.html

If a fellow isn't thankful for what he's got, he isn't likely to be thankful for what he's going to get. ~Frank A. Clark

Writing has to be personally satisfying, even when expressing or venting your feelings. You need the catharsis, thefreedom to feel and spill all that's inside you. Sometimes it's venomous, sometimes it's flowers and sunshine.
Whenyou're happy you've gotta shout it out.

When you're sad you whisper, but you still express it.

I've been on my blogs for a lot of years now, and I've taken myself from chatting at Literotica to writing. I look for some people to enchant and enhance my mind and soul with their writing.

Unfortunately, they are few and far between.

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. ~ William Arthur Ward

I am very lucky that I have a certain audience, even unseen, and for that I must say 'Thank you' and 'I love you'.

I tell my physical family I love them when I see them here in town. Why shouldn't I say the same thing to the people here on-line?

Maybe I do need to count like Jimmy Stewart the blessings around me, not the shortcomings and failures.

And maybe, as odd as this could sound, I need to spend more time away from the internet.

My studio time is limited, and without exposure, I don't think my hopes will grow the wings I want to see so they can soar as high as possible.

Thank you Kirsti, and thank you to so many others who boost my morale and help me read my tea leave showing my dreams to my tired eyes.

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Let's make some magic.

Ciao.

Countdown Continues Again

Glitch!  Try again!

Well, we're at eleven (11) days and awaiting a new surprise, and I am working hard to fulfill that promise inside my soul and heart to make a new me of my life. I can't keep bitching and moaning, crying and whining hoping for the world to change when it's actually me that needs to change.

As I previously posted, there's a contest/submission guidelines for new author's via Pengiun's UK site, looking for a new book/author and I am going to make a real effort to have this happen. I have been working at sign painting, which is an old-school trait, as I am not a graffiti artist, but more of a cartoonist, and I need to make those cartoons work for me.

I am also working at some ideas about making a video about one of my favorite songs, and hopefully get the licensing from YouTube to present this and show off my camera eye.

I am sewing, fixing clothing for my GI Joes (which may not seem manly but if my weapon's collection is 1:6 scale then I can't go Charles Whitman on the world) and getting some things made so I can have an army of PMC's for eBay. After that maybe I should make stop-action animation movies like the nerds on Robot Chicken. ~lol!~

There has to be more to life than paying my shitty bills, working at a job and leaving it when they're done with me, having exhausted my creativity and desire to function. I can't let that be my day. Or my week. Or my month, or my life ... ever!

11 days and counting.

Let's see what happens.

Thanks for your time.

Always,
