Nothing Happened - Yay!

An update on the Blogger porn content policy

This week, we announced a change to Blogger’s porn policy stating that blogs that distributed sexually explicit images or graphic nudity would be made private.
We’ve received lots of feedback about making a policy change that impacts longstanding blogs, and about the negative impact this could have on individuals who post sexually explicit content to express their identities.
We appreciate the feedback. Instead of making this change, we will be maintaining our existing policies.

What this means for blog owners

  • Commercial porn will continue to be prohibited.
  • If you have pornographic or sexually explicit content on your blog, you must turn on the adult content setting so a warning will show. If a blog with adult content is brought to Google’s attention and the content warning is not active, we will turn on the warning interstitial for you. If this happens repeatedly, the blog may be removed.
  • If you don't have sexually explicit content on your blog and you're following the rest of the Blogger Content Policy, you don't need to make any changes to your blog.

Going Private

Google is going to start restricting or eliminating Adult Content from bloggers pages.  If not profiles & pages will be eliminated or restricted.

Same for Searches: no longer will people be found easily on the Internet.

I've got until March 23 of this year to clean up my blog or be censored altogether.

I don't know what that will mean.

Going to Multiply was a disaster and I can't imagine moving alol these blog entries to Wordpress.

Something will happen.

Thanks for all your words & notes people.

Take care.

As my friend used to say, 'Ciao'.

Changes effective 03/23/2015

Adult content policy on Blogger

Starting March 23, 2015, you won't be able to publicly share images and video that are sexually explicit or show graphic nudity on Blogger.
Note: We’ll still allow nudity if the content offers a substantial public benefit, for example in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts.

Changes you’ll see to your existing blogs

If your existing blog doesn’t have any sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video on it, you won’t notice any changes.
If your existing blog does have sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video, your blog will be made private after March 23, 2015. No content will be deleted, but private content can only be seen by the owner or admins of the blog and the people who the owner has shared the blog with.

Settings you can update for existing blogs

If your blog was created before March 23, 2015, and contains content that violates our new policy, you have a few options for changing your blog before the new policy starts:
If you’d rather take your blog down altogether, you can export your blog as a .xml file or archive your blog's text and images using Google Takeout.

Effect on new blogs

For any blogs created after March 23, 2015, we may remove the blog or take other action if it includes content that is sexually explicit or shows graphic nudity as explained in our content policy.

Goodbye 2014

It's been an odd year, ups & down, success & failure, joy and tears.

But by the Old-fuckin'-Gods I'm still here!

I didn't slip into a warm bath, gobble a handful of Tramadol and guzzle a pint of Wild Turkey and leave this fuckin' world.  I'm still scrambling, reaching for my dreams with every breath, every hope, every brush stroke, shopping trip and chance to write in my days.

Thank you, friends & loves, who've given me kindness, words and love since this journey began.  Thank you for the moments when my heart broke this year, accusers came at me, and I fought depression with a fucking rage I couldn't keep in check.

Tears are gone.

Time to move on.

Love you all.

Bye.
