Christmas Indeed

This has been a better holiday than most in the last few years.  Granted, I got the usual gifts such as clothing, gift cards, and things in that nature.

But this time, there were a few more interesting gifts:

  • a few new friends who send me notes constantly
  • a hug from someone on-line, thus making them a real-life joy
  • a .zip file with the most amazing images I can imagine
  • support, warmth and tenderness in many different avenues
  • a few notes from a faraway smile who always warms me even with a sentence
  • a happy heart
  • a new path

Some reading here will see I have certain fetishes/desires/fantasies ... call them what you will.  And with my countdown clock closing in swiftly, I am coming closer to something: a decision.

Many of you've met me at places like Literotica & Fetlife, and have interacted in various ways ranging from notes to letters, cards, phone and cyber sex, and photo exchanges.  These are all levels of intimacy that we choose to follow and fulfill, and we accept the honest we give one another.  We don't share and we don't betray or pry.

I have been watching the case of the writer of "The Pedophiles Guide" with keen interest, simply because he could be a litmus test for the First Amendment.  Good taste versus art, and after that the question "What is art?" - could be the next challenge.

But that could be a new step in life.  It could make me the man I'm dreaming of being and have dreamt of being for so very long.

It could destroy me.

But that's a gamble, and it could be worth it for my hopes and dreams.

And, it could be well worth it.

Thank you for listening.

Thank you for being a part of my life and my hopes and my dreams.

What happens next could be amazing or a disaster.

But I have to own it, like my dreams, or it will always be my personal failure and another "What if?" in my life.

So here we go.

Many blessings, much love to you ... to all of you.

Merry Christmas 2010

"Mary Did You Know"

[Originally written by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene]

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

Mary did you know.. Ooo Ooo Ooo

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.

O Holy night, the stars are brightly shining.
It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh hear the angel voices!
Oh night divine! Oh night when Christ was born!
Oh night divine! Oh night! Oh night divine!

Chains shall he break for the slave is our brother,
and in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we;
Let all within us praise his holy name.
Christ is the lord, that ever, ever praise we.
Noel! Noel! Oh night;oh night divine!
Noel! Noel! Oh night; oh night divine!
Noel! Noel! Oh night; oh night divine!

What Child Is This? Lyrics

What child is this, who, laid to rest
On Mary's lap, is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet
While shepherds watch are keeping

This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing
Haste, haste to bring him laud
The babe, the son of Mary

This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring him laud,
The babe, the son of Mary
The babe, the son of Mary
The babe, the son of Mary

Sanctify

No church can sanctify a union,
only the heart can.
I saw & missed my chance
but only wanted it for one
reason:
If nothing else, at least once in
life I could say, "Yes, I
did ask the most beautiful woman
I know to marry me."

Even if she turned me down or away.

Bond set in Fla. for author of pedophile guide

By TAMARA LUSH, Associated Press Tamara Lush, Associated Press Wed Dec 22, 1:59 pm ET

BARTOW, Fla. – A judge set bail at $15,000 Wednesday for a Colorado man who wrote a how-to guide for pedophiles.

Phillip Greaves of Pueblo is charged with violating the state's obscenity law, a third-degree felony that could land him in prison for five years.

The 47-year-old was arrested Monday in Colorado, but Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd claims jurisdiction in the case because Greaves sold and mailed a copy of his book to undercover deputies in Florida who had requested a copy.

Court-appointed public defender Francis Solorzano, assigned because Greaves could not afford an attorney, first asked Judge John Kirkland to drop the case.

"Any finding of probable cause would tend to have a chilling effect on free speech," Solorzano said. "What we're dealing here is mere words. There are no images in the book."

But Kirkland said the judge who signed the arrest warrant had already found probable cause and he could not override that decision.

The self-published book — "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover's Code of Conduct" — caused a flap when it showed up on Amazon in November. It was later removed from the site.

Greaves, who has no criminal record, writes in the book that pedophiles are misunderstood, as the word literally means to love a child. He adds it is only a crime to act on sexual impulses toward children, and offers advice that purportedly allows pedophiles to abide by the law.

Judd said he was incensed when he heard about the book and that no one had arrested Greaves for selling it. The book, Judd said, included first-person descriptions of sexual encounters, purportedly written from a child's point of view.

During the hearing Wednesday, Greaves' attorney asked Kirkland to reduce or eliminate the $15,000 bond.

"It is 15 times the standard bond schedule for a third-degree felony," Solorzano said. "That should be considered excessive."

But prosecutor Brad Copley said the state believes the $15,000 bond "is on the low side."

Kirkland decided to keep the bond at $15,000. If Greaves does post it, he must stay in the state of Florida, not use a computer and not have contact with anyone under 18.

Solorzano said it is unlikely Greaves will be able to raise the bail money. He is being held at the Polk County Jail and told local media on Tuesday that he "only has sex with grown-ups" and that writing and selling his book falls under his constitutional right to free speech.

He is charged under Florida's obscenity law, which prohibits the "distribution of obscene material depicting minors engaged in conduct harmful to minors."

'Pedophile Guide' Author Arrested on Obscenity Charges

Published December 21, 2010 | FoxNews.com

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The author of a self-published how-to guide for pedophiles that was pulled from Amazon.com last month after widespread outrage has been arrested on obscenity charges.

Phillip Ray Greaves, a 47-year-old retired nurse's aide in Pueblo, Colo., was arrested Monday at his home by sheriff's deputies from Florida's Polk County and charged with violating Florida's obscenity law, a third-degree felony. During a brief court appearance on Monday, Greaves waived his right to fight extradition. He will be booked into the Polk County jail around 11 a.m. Tuesday and has his next court appearance scheduled for Wednesday.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said his office was able to arrest Greaves on Florida charges because Greaves sold and mailed his book -- "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-Lover's Code of Conduct" -- directly to undercover Polk deputies. Greaves even signed the book, Judd said.

"He very proudly sold us his personal copy," Judd told The Associated Press. "I was outraged by the content. It was clearly a manifesto on how to sexually batter children ... You just can't believe how absolutely disgusting it was."

Greaves told FoxNews.com last month that nearly 300 copies of his self-published e-book were sold on Amazon.com's Kindle Store in 24 hours prior to its disappearance from the site on Nov. 11. He said he also received more than 3,000 complaints about the $4.79 e-book, which seeks to make "pedophile situations safer for those juveniles that find themselves involved in them," according to the product description that was posted while the book was available for sale.

Greaves said he does not promote pedophilia, but that it "is something that I have sympathy for because of my own childhood."

Greaves said he was exposed to sex when he was 7 years old. "I was not molested, but I was exposed to sex at an early age … Sometimes those relationships are positive. No, I do not advocate pedophilia. I just feel that I understand it."

Pueblo Police Chief James Billings told FoxNews.com last month that his department would conduct a "cursory review" of Greaves' material.

"We have no indication that a crime has been committed," Billings said last month. "But we are looking at the situation to have a better understanding of what this book is all about and to see if there's something we should be concerned about."

On Monday, Laurie Shorter, a spokeswoman for the Pueblo County Sheriff's Department, said Greaves would be held in the county jail on the Florida charge. Another department spokeswoman said Greaves would leave for Polk County later in the day.

Greaves made a brief court appearance before District Court Judge David Crockenberg in Pueblo on Monday. Greaves, who was represented by a public defender, was the one defendant who did not wear a striped prison uniform during his court appearance, although his wrists were handcuffed in front of him.

Denver attorney David Lane, who has handled several high-profile First Amendment cases, said Florida could have a hard time extraditing Greaves, who is charged with distribution of obscene material depicting minors engaged in conduct harmful to minors.

He is entitled to a hearing where he can argue he should not be sent there to face charges.

"The main question is whether what he's accused of in Florida would be a crime in Colorado," Lane said. "Obviously, it's not a crime in Colorado because he hasn't been arrested here."

Writs of extradition -- the paperwork necessary to send somebody to another state -- are routinely signed by Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter, a former Denver district attorney. But Lane, who is not affiliated with this case, said it involves a different set of issues.

"Most of other extradition cases present clear-cut cases, the defendant was dealing drugs in that other state or some other crime that is also illegal here," Lane said.

Ritter's spokesman, Evan Dreyer, did not immediately return a message.

Greaves has no criminal record, but his self-published book of advice on how to make sexual encounters with children safe caused a flap when it showed up on Amazon in November. The book was later removed from the site.

Judd, known throughout Florida as a crusader against child predators, said he was incensed when he heard about the book and that no one had arrested Greaves for selling it.

"What's wrong with a society that has gotten to the point that we can't arrest child pornographers and child molesters who write a book about how to rape a child?" Judd said.

The book included first-person descriptions of sexual encounters, purportedly written from a child's point of view.

Greaves argues in the book that pedophiles are misunderstood, as the word literally means to love a child. He adds that it is only a crime to act on sexual impulses toward children, and offers advice that purportedly allows pedophiles to abide by the law.

Judd said he and his detectives got Greaves to sell the book to them for $50; he sent it through the mail and told officers it was his last copy.

"If we can get jurisdiction ... we're coming after you," Judd said. "There's nothing in the world more important than our children."

Some legal experts questioned whether Greaves' right to free speech would come into play if there's a trial.

"As bad as this book may be, the charge opens a very big Pandora's box," said Dennis Kenney, a former police officer in Polk County and a professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. "The charge sounds to me like a significant overreach."

FoxNews.com's Joshua Rhett Miller and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Today

Just for now I am resting, feeling myself breathing calmly, my mind at rest.  I can finish grading my papers on a quiet day with the laptop at the library where I can lay out everything on a long table and then get it ready to return to school in 2 weeks.

I did get some nice gifts from the kids & my Secret Santa.  My SS was a septuagenarian teacher who maybe should have retired, but hasn't so that's her choice.  She gave me a $25 gift card.

The kids gave me home made cards, snacks and one kids brought me a box of Lindor chocolates.

Kinda cool Christmas.

Cards are going out today.

I had trouble finding the pictures I wanted to send but they're going out.

Thanks for all the support and love, locally & on-line.

Meet Me on Monday

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed? - Billy Connally (Da)
"The Boondock Saints

I'm not known for being fun, per se, so I am trying something new.  As an erotic writer and self-proclaimed deviate pervert, this could be a new reaching for an extended audience or a death knell.

Nevertheless, I'm gonna try it:

Questions:

1. How do you order your steak?
2. Are you superstitious about anything?
3. Who is your best friend (not including your spouse)?
4. When is the last time your wore a dress (for the guys...a suit)?
5. Do you have any trips scheduled?

And here are the answers:

1. Medium rare.  I don't know why but I've always loved the tenderness as I bite into the meat.  ;-)

2. Spilled salt, and I immediately toss some of it over my shoulder.  I always watch where it goes as I don't want to salt someone's dessert or coffee.

3. My best friend is a sniper in the USAF.  We've known each other since the 70's, and have grown up together.  I'm amazed he's doing this job in his 40's but he's on his 3rd tour of duty and I am very proud of him.

4. I wore one for a wedding last year at a nice hotel.  I wore an overcoat as it was cold, and had my shoes polished bright and clean.  I danced, smiled, and was told I was a lot of fun.

(Not me but a good example)

5. I want to visit New Orleans again in 2011.  I went in '97 and started giving away my art.  If I'd of sold one piece I'd of stayed.
